More About Me

BIO

I was born on Staten Island, New York City. I am the only member of my family to be born in the United States. My mother and my sister were born in England. My father and my brother were born in Norway. Being in the shipping industry, my father managed to book passage for my mother, brother and sister on an oil tanker. My mom was seven months pregnant with me during the month long voyage and has never failed to remind me that she did not take any seasickness medicine. (The sacrifices mothers make.)

EDUCATION

I went to college at George Washington University in Washington, DC where I majored in Philosophy and minored in English Literature. There being a dearth of philosopher jobs, I went on to law school at the University of Connecticut School of Law. I practiced law as a civil litigator for 10 years prior to becoming a Realtor. I have been a licensed Realtor for 14 years.

PAYING IT FORWARD

I have been blessed with many opportunities. I love my community and feel that it is extremely important to give back and be involved. I served 4 years as president of the Hillsdale Neighborhood Association; plant trees with Friends of Trees; and help cook the monthly community supper at St. Barnabas.
